Although private clients were booking Journey Therapy appointments to help their emotional or health issues, it soon became very clear that other areas of their life were improving and in many case their worklife was improving.
We know that when we are not feeling our best we are unable to perform at work to the highest level of our potential. By resolving personal issues we are able to be more focused.
Some employers, realising the benefits of having a happy, healthy workforce, chose to use Journey Therapy as an option to support their employees.
Journey therapy is most effective when a client attends a one-to-one appointment, however group sessions are also beneficial which makes it very cost effective for businesses.
A group session is quite unique as it is totally private and confidential, no one shares with anyone else the reasons they have for attending. An analogy can be made with going to the cinema, we don't talk to others whilst watching the film, yet we all get our own personal experience of it.
Most month Suzanne facilitates a Journey Well-being group in Hemel Hempstead for individuals. Often people from support agencies, businesses and schools will come along to experience this therapy for themselves so that they are able to suggest or recommend it to others.

Sponsored by NatWest, Dacorum's New Business of the Year Award has been given to Sue Franklin www.businessimpact.org.uk
We would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement.

The article, published on www.hemelhempsteadtoday.co.uk is as follows:
A businesswoman who has helped many victims of the Buncefield disaster cope with the traumatic emotional after-effects, has won the New Business of the Year category.
Suzanne Franklin - Business Impact Suzanne Franklin turned to alternative therapies to cope with the stress she suffered after her former husband became the victim of a vicious attack in 1997. She was so impressed with The Journey - a therapy that unlocks emotional problems by giving clients something else to focus on - that she set up her own business called Business Impact.
Suzanne said: “It changed me and changed my life within 48 hours. I was so impressed by the immediate and remarkable changes in me that I decided to undertake the intense training to become an accredited Journey practitioner.”
She started her company in February 2002 working with individual clients with health problems varying from stress to cancer. As soon as the Buncefield oil depot explosions happened Suzanne sprung into action setting up group therapy sessions at the Holiday Inn hotel to help people cope.
She still holds free monthly sessions at Bennetts End and Woodhall Farm Community Centre for people dealing with post traumatic stress. Suzanne said: “The people I have worked with I have only needed to see once so it is very fast and very effective.” Since setting up the business from her home in Polehanger Lane, Hemel Hempstead she has treated more than 1,000 clients. She said of the award: “I feel very honoured and delighted.”
